Cook Medical Australia is seeking two qualified Production Engineers to join our Production Engineering Department in our Australian Head Office at Eight Mile Plains. Reporting to the Production Engineer Manager, this position  consists of the following responsibilities;

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist engineering support working with internal stakeholders to maximise productivity and reduce costs through continuous improvement and implementing LEAN manufacturing techniques.
• To liaise and support Manufacturing, R&D Engineering, QA and Facility functions across three manufacturing sites
• Investigate, recommend and apply new engineering methodologies and technologies
• Assist production and quality departments to ensure quality objectives are maintained and improved meeting established standards and regulatory requirements

Key Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma qualified Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing Engineer.
• Significant experience in process efficiency improvements using LEAN manufacturing skills and techniques
• Cooperative, detailed, innovative, flexible, results driven
• Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills
• Enjoys working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Specialised machine design, development and build experience
• Ability to effectively communicate with and work with employees in all levels and functions of the organisation
• Engineering experience in a Medical, Food or controlled manufacturing environment is beneficial
